Plant Care
Below is a general guide to giving the best care for your plant! Specific guides by plant type coming soon.
Watering
- Check the moisture level of the soil before watering
- Most plants prefer to lightly dry out between watering
- Make sure the plant has proper drainage (if there is no drainage hole, water less at a time)
- Under or overwatering will result in a wilting plant with brown leaves
-
Aerate the soil & fertilize monthly with an organic houseplant fertilizer
Lighting
- Most plants prefer medium to bright indirect light
- Some plants tolerate low light, but expect slower growth
- Do not place houseplants in direct sun, as the leaves will burn
- Rotate your plant periodically to ensure even growth on all sides
and more...
- Dust the leaves often so the plant can photosythesize
- Check your plants and the dirt periodically for pests
- Repot the plant if it is outgrowing its pot
