Plant Care

Below is a general guide to giving the best care for your plant! Specific guides by plant type coming soon.

  • Check the moisture level of the soil before watering
  • Most plants prefer to lightly dry out between watering
  • Make sure the plant has proper drainage (if there is no drainage hole, water less at a time)
  • Under or overwatering will result in a wilting plant with brown leaves
  • Aerate the soil & fertilize monthly with an organic houseplant fertilizer

  • Most plants prefer medium to bright indirect light
  • Some plants tolerate low light, but expect slower growth
  • Do not place houseplants in direct sun, as the leaves will burn
  • Rotate your plant periodically to ensure even growth on all sides

  • Dust the leaves often so the plant can photosythesize
  • Check your plants and the dirt periodically for pests
